SLA Fails to Block Suit by Tenants

The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has failed in its bid to strike out a suit by two nursery owners in Queenstown who had sued the agency for terminating their tenancy agreements. The plaintiffs’ lawyers Looi Ming Ming and M. Radika (of Eldan Law LLP) had raised the question of whether the SLA had given proper notice of termination in accordance with the tenancy agreements. The High Court agreed that the case should go for a full trial as there were novel issues of law that needed to be settled.
