Jointly organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects and the Association of Chartered Engineers, “An Integrated Approach” is the theme for the 2012 Practice Convention. The convention will discuss the fundamental changes to the practice of these two professions in light of globalization and the need for sustainable design. Opportunities for diversification and specialization along with building information modelling (BIM) will also be touched on. Our Edwin Lee will be delivering a paper on the latest case law affecting designers and qualified persons.
